Hello fellow DIYers. My parents have an old Kenmore 700 series dryer bought used last year and now we can’t run it with the “check lint screen” light on. I’ve cleaned the filter area and vent hose. I took the back panel off to see if the foam seal around the vent needed to be replaced but there is no foam seal there. Do I add a foam seal?Step 2. Hi Will, Thank you for your question. If the dryer is heating, but there is no heat blowing on the clothes, there is likely a clog in the exhaust vent and it will need to be cleaned out.
